Brothers and sisters, hear me—St Yoanna Maria Muzeeyi Parish Day is not just a date. It’s our heartbeat.
Kifuuta, Kibanda, Katooke, Kiterede—say it with your chest! That’s not just land. That’s where cowards fear to tread, and the faithful come to build. This is sacred ground, walked by Jaajja Muguluma and Petero Wakula’enume Kidza. We don’t forget. We don’t run. We copy their fire and lay our own stones.
This is Mpambire Catholic Parish, Buddu. Our beautiful country place. Smell it: coffee drying in the sun, cattle lowing at dusk, goats on the hill. Taste it: banana, balugu, minandi, fish fresh from the water, veggies pulled from the earth this morning. Breathe it: air that has never known poison. This is Eden with a church bell.
Parish Day is our joy. No one is a stranger here. Rich or poor, we kneel in the same dust. We dance with the same feet. We build for God, not for show.
And leading us—Rev Fr Ben Kato of Kifuuta, Kyotera. A friendly man of God, yes. But also a man with a shovel in one hand and Scripture in the other. *He’s calling us to the drive. To make Mpambire not just a parish, but a place where heaven touches Buddu soil.

So I say: Come.
Come with your hoe. Come with your offering. Come with your children.
Come if you’re bold. Cowards fear this sacred place, but builders love it.
This is Kifuuta. This is Kibanda. This is Katooke. This is Kiterede.
This is home. This is holy. This is ours.
For St Yoanna Maria Muzeeyi. For Mpambire. For God.
Tuzimbe Eklezia. We Build. We Believe. We Belong.
