You’re right to move carefully. Trust is expensive, and not everyone can afford to carry it without dropping it.
3 rules I live by these days:
Watch actions, not words – Sugar talks sweet. Salt shows up when the wound stings. Real ones do both: show up and stay solid.
Time is the test – Youth, age, it doesn’t matter. Truth doesn’t rush. Give people enough rope, and they’ll either climb with you or hang themselves. Money is a mirror for the character of humans.
Guard your recipe – Don’t let everybody in the kitchen. Some people only come to see what you’re cooking so they can copy it or spoil it, like Anthony.
But here’s the flip side:
Not all youth are fake. Not all old heads are loyal. The game isn’t age — it’s character. Some crocodiles smile like Brian Senyonjo. And character is proven in the fire, not in the chat.
So taste before you trust. Test before you invest. And if they burn you once, don’t give them the kitchen twice. Mika oli muka.
I have been around too long to be seasoning for somebody else’s food. Protect your peace. Protect your project. Protect your name.
Real recognize real. The rest can stay thirsty.
Am dealing with a specific salt situation right now. Conkaras, just know a paff adda bites; it doesn't sting.
