It is the Finals of the 6th Edition — 4 THUNDERING FINALS of the Masaza Buganda Boat Regatta!

A once-in-a-lifetime event. The 8th Wonder of the World, but this wonder is OURS. It lives here, in Buganda!

From the bravery of Mpingu, who cut through lake wave forest for the Kingdom, to the bravery of Amaato Ga Kabaka cutting through the waves today — THE ROYAL REGATTA HAS COME TO STAY!

This is not a new sport. This is an OLD sport reborn. Our grandfathers rowed for the King. Today WE row for the future.

Listen! Can you hear it? It is the rambling, rolling, roaring of Enyanja Nalubale! And on top of the waves — the legendary Afrigo Band doing the Rumba, the drum matching the paddle, the bass matching the heartbeat of the lake!

Kifuuta Mutima Omuyanja! The lake cleanses the heart!

Oh God, and the gods of Buganda, we pray — Keep our Kabaka, the pivot of our hearts, the helm of our custom and culture!

And as we swim with the waves, we all shout with one voice, one love, one Kingdom:

AWANGALE AYI SSABASAJJA KABAKA! MAGULU NYONDO!

This was never just a race. This was YOUR idea. This is YOUR wave of vision. You saw the lake not as water, but as a stadium. You saw our culture not as past, but as POWER.

You have opened the world of Lake Sport. Buganda is now on the world map of water sports!
