The Oracle of Kifuuta speaking from between Ekerezia, Shrine, Church near the Mosque
Listen, my children! Come closer to the E'kyooto ku Mbugga, the hearth! Whether you come from Shrine, Ekerezia, Kanisa, Temple, or Mosque, Kifuuta Oracle has one fire for all of you! Because God did not make a different eye for the Muslim and a different palm for the Christian! He made one engineering for all His children!
God was not playing when He made you! He put three small gods inside your body! And these three control 90% of your brain! If you tame them, whether you pray in the Shrine, kneel in Ekerezia, sing in Kanisa, bow in Temple, or prostrate in Mosque, you have won this world!
THE EYE: The Thief Without a Padlock
God made the eye!
But He forgot, or He refused, to give it a filter! No sieve! No padlock! No askari at the gate!
It takes everything! Good or bad! You pass in Kifuuta, you see a naked woman; the eye takes! You pass by a Mosque, you see men praying; the eye takes! You pass by a Kanisa, you see choir singing; the eye takes! You pass by a Shrine, you see blood of sacrifice; the eye takes! You see gold, you see blood, you see a dead body, you see a beautiful child; the eye does not ask permission! It just swallows!
That is why the child who grows near the Shrine sees charms every day and becomes fearful! The child who grows near the Mosque sees ablution every day and becomes clean! The child who grows near the Kanisa sees the Bible and becomes a reader! The child who grows near the roadside sees fighting and becomes a fighter!
Because the eye is a camera without a delete button! What the eye eats, the brain cooks! And what the brain cooks, your life will eat!
The Oracle asks you who go to Ekerezia every morning and on Sunday, and to the Shrine on Monday: what are you feeding your eyes? A man with a bad eye will never have peace! His eye will take his neighbour's wife in Kanisa, his neighbour's goat near the Mosque, his neighbour's success in the Temple, and bring jealousy into his heart even while he is praying!
God made the eye open, but He gave you eyelids! So you can close! In Shrine, in Church, in Mosque, learning to close the eye is the first prayer!
THE PALM: ENGAALO, The Same Hand That Washes Sewerage Peels Potatoes
Now look at your palm! Your palm!
What engineering! No battery! No charger! Five fingers! Yet it feels cold and hot in the same second!
This same palm, this morning, you used it to wash sewerage! You cleaned the toilet! You cleaned the child's faeces behind the Kanisa!
And with the SAME palm, in no minutes, you peel potatoes! You peel matooke for your children! You hold bread in the Mosque during Iftar! You hold the rosary in Ekerezia! You hold incense in Temple! You shake the hand of the priest! You shake the hand of the Imam! You shake the hand of the shrine priest, Jjaajja Kawumpuli!
The same hand that holds good holds bad! The same hand that builds a Temple is the same hand that can burn a Mosque! The same hand that slaps in anger is the same hand that blesses in Kanisa!
That is why our elders say: Engalo z'omuntu ze zimukolera ensi. Your fingers make your world!
A thief in front of the Shrine and a farmer in front of the Mosque use the same palm! One steals; one plants! Same engineering, different decision!
So the Oracle asks you, you who raise hands in Mosque to say Allahu Akbar, you who raise hands in Kanisa to say Hallelujah, you who raise hands in Shrine to call ancestors: what are your hands doing after prayer? Are they building or breaking? Stealing or giving? Washing or dirtying?
Because God will not judge you by where you prayed, whether Shrine, Ekerezia, Kanisa, Temple, or Mosque; He will judge you by what your palm touched when you had a choice to do good or bad!
THE TONGUE: OLULIME, The Small Fire the Gods Fear More Than the Enemy
Now we come to the most feared of all! Olulime!
The tongue can eat cold ice! It can drink hot tea! It can taste dry cassava! It can taste wet soup! One minute, tea; next minute, salt! What a magic!
But listen: the tongue is a source of trouble and a source of peace!
One tongue in Kanisa gossiped and caused divorce! One tongue in Mosque lied and caused two brothers to fight! One tongue in Shrine cursed and a whole clan bled! One tongue in Temple abused and a child ran away! One tongue caused war between Pian and Tepesi in Moroto!
And the same small tongue, one word, "Nkusonyiye, Forgive me, Samahani," can bring peace that 100 elders in Ekerezia, 100 Imams in Mosque, and 100 Jjajjas in Shrine failed to bring!
That is why the gods fear the tongue more than they fear the enemy! An enemy you can see with your eyes! You can fight with your hands! But the tongue? It kills while smiling in Kanisa! It stabs while saying "I love you" in Mosque!
Jjaajja Mangalita Agatta Koletta in Buddu left us this saying:
"Olulime lwe lulya ebikawa ne biwooma." The tongue is the one that eats both the bitter and the sweet!
It is the same tongue that prays in Mosque at 5 a.m. and insults a neighbour at 6 a.m.! Same tongue that sings in Kanisa on Sunday and lies on Monday! Same tongue that chants in Shrine and abuses his wife at home!
If you control your tongue, my child, whether you are in Shrine, Ekerezia, Kanisa, Temple, or Mosque, you have controlled your destiny!
THE FINAL JUDGEMENT AT THE HEARTH
So, my children: Munaabe ku Kyoogo, abana mu banazze ekyogelo.
All places of worship teach one thing: Clean these three!
If God, through His gods, gives you:
- GOOD EYES that see good in people, whether they are from Shrine or Mosque;
- GOOD HANDS that do good work, whether they are holding a rosary, tasbih, or shrine rattles;
- and a GOOD TONGUE that speaks peace, whether it says Amen, Amin, or Tukutendereza.
You have won this world! You don't need to run from Shrine to Ekerezia to Kanisa to Temple to Mosque, collecting charms! You ARE the shrine! You ARE the temple!
Because these three, Eye, Palm, and Tongue, control 90% of your brain!
Your eye decides what you desire!
Your hand decides what you do!
Your tongue decides what you become!
Clean your eye, clean your palm, clean your tongue, and whether you pray in Shrine, Ekerezia, Kanisa, Temple, or Mosque, Kifuuta, Heaven, and your ancestors will all call you a wise man!
The Kifuuta Oracle has spoken!
