Order my steps, dear God.
Order them this Friday morning, because my own eyes cannot see what is coming.
Let Your wings cover me.
Let Your hands hold me.
When the road is dark, be my light.
When the road is confusing, be my compass.
When I cannot see, see for me.
Let the gods of Kifuuta stand at my gate.
Let them protect my family: my children, my wife, my blood, and my home.
No evil shall enter. No curse shall sit. No enemy shall sleep in my house.
Teach me, Lord.
Teach me how to make real choices, not choices of fear, not choices of pressure, but choices of wisdom.
Teach me how to pray and trust, even when I have no answer.
Teach me how to pick friends; how to separate the real from the fake, the brother from the pretender, the one who claps in my face from the one who stabs me in the back.
And thank You, God.
Thank You for showing me my enemies.
You did not hide them. You opened my eyes. You let me see who was smiling with a knife behind their back.
I am not bitter. I am wiser. I am grateful.
This Friday, I walk in peace.
I walk with courage.
I walk with Your wings above me and Your hands around me.
Let me enjoy my weekend.
Let my heart rest.
Let my family laugh.
Let my soul breathe.
I have seen a lot. I have survived a lot.
But today, I am not walking alone.
God is ordering my steps. Kifuuta is watching over me. I am protected.
Amen.
