The Luck That Was Born with Him: 56 Years of Waiting. Tobit Luck

What's yours will always come for you. You can run to Rwanda, you can hide in UBC archives, you can marry the Far East — it will find you.

On His Majesty Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I

Young ones, you think luck comes like boda fast-fast. No.

Some luck is born with you on the day your mother pushes you out in 1970. It cries with you. It grows teeth with you. It goes to school with you. But it waits. It waits like a pot on low fire.

This is the luck of His Majesty Edward Rukidi Nyabongo I.

Born Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma in 1970, grandson of Omukama Sir George David Matthew Kamurasi Rukidi III. The blood was already in him. The drum was already in his chest. But the gods of Kifuuta said, "Not yet. Let him walk first."

So his luck waited for 56 years.

56 years of walking like an ordinary man!

56 years carrying a camera at UBC!

56 years sweating in Rwanda, interviewing people who didn't know he was a prince!

56 years working, marrying a queen from the Far East, not from the next hill, loving like a common man, paying rent like a common man, being told, "Cut this news, edit that," like a common man!

Being royal did not stop him from working. Being royal did not make him sit and wait for palace food. He worked.

And God was watching. And Kifuuta was watching.

Because tradition is not evil. Tradition is not anti-God. Tradition is God remembering His own.

As it is written in Tobit, Tobit was blind for years, but his luck, Angel Raphael, was walking beside his son Tobias on the road, pretending to be a young man. Luck was there, but blind eyes could not see it.

So was his luck. It was born with him in 1970. It moved with him to Bukoba, to Kigali, to the UBC master control room at 11 p.m., but it said, "I will not pour until you are ready. I will not pour until you have learned how to be human before you become king."

Then, on 9th September 2026, the Babiito Royal Clan, the keepers of the blood, the ones who hear what we Oracles sometimes fail to hear, sat and said, "It is him."

29th September 2026: Karuziika Palace, crown on head.

IN ONE DAY, A RICH MAN.

In one day, a wealthy man. Not because money fell from the sky. Because 56 years of stored luck poured at once!

Like rain that has been gathering in clouds over Tooro for 56 years, when it pours, it pours rivers!

One day, you are editing news. Next day, you are holding the royal spear. One day, you worry about transport. Next day, kingdoms come to kneel.

That is Omusika.

In Buddu, we say: "Omukisa oguzaalibwa nagwo tegufa, gukula naawe ne bwe gukusirika okumala emyaka 56, ku lunaku lumu gukuyika nga enkuba ya Naludugavu oba Lusakalwamese."
The luck you are born with never dies; it grows with you, and even if it stays quiet for 56 years, one day it pours like the rains of Bunyangabu.

What's yours will always come for you. You can run to Rwanda, you can hide in UBC archives, you can marry the Far East — it will find you.

Even if you hide in the deepest cave in Kyotera, your luck will come knocking: "Edward, it is time."

FOR YOU WHO IS TIRED

Why I was named:

  1. Benedicto — someone with luck.
  2. Immanuel — God is with you.
  3. Joseph — a JUST man.

You, you are 30, 40, 50; you think you have kicked the cooking pot. You say, "My time passed."

His luck waited 56 years! Who told you your 30 years is late?

Never joke with luck. Never say, "I have no luck." Your luck was born with you. It is just waiting for your heart to be ready to carry it.

Pray to God for your best life every morning. And respect your tradition because the gods of Kifuuta, Kyotera, Buddu are not evil; they are the postmen of God. They carry your letter for 56 years without losing it.

When God finally says, "Deliver," they deliver you to Karuziika.

Now he is wealthy not just with money, but with clans, with drums, with ancestors, with a queen from the Far East who now becomes Mother of Batooro, wealthy as the gods guide him.

From microphone to royal drum. From newsroom to throne. From worker to Omukama.

That is God.

That is luck.

That is never losing hope before you kick the cooking pot.

Don't just name your kid; give them a name that makes a sound!

Omukisa mpewo

A saying from the Oracle of Kifuuta.
